Troubleshooting User Login and Verification Code Issues

Users not receiving sign-in codes after enabling User-Level License Management.

Overview

If you have enabled User-Level License Management but users are not receiving the sign-in email with the verification code, follow the steps below.

Pre-requisites:

  • Users must have DataSnipper version 6.1.13 or later.

  • User email is correctly added to the Company Dashboard.

Step 1: Whitelist the sender email

Whitelist [email protected] β€” this is the address that sends the sign-in code. It may be marked as spam or blocked by your email filter. Also check the spam/junk folder.

Step 2: Whitelist the DataSnipper API

DataSnipper requires connectivity to: api.datasnipper.com

Check if the endpoint is accessible using the ping command and whitelist it if needed. If still not accessible, it may be blocked by company geo-blockers β€” this endpoint is located in the Netherlands.

Step 3: Unblock the sign-in URL

During sign-in, DataSnipper opens the following URL in a new window. If it is not accessible, the user cannot request a verification code:

Ensure both URLs are allow-listed in your network/firewall configuration.
