How to validate DataSnipper and Text Recognition (OCR)

Verify DataSnipper is installed correctly and OCR is working after installation.

Overview

After DataSnipper has been installed, we recommend verifying that its functionality works as expected. This can be done in a few minutes.

What is Text Recognition (OCR)?

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a technology that reads documents and transforms any visible text into a format the computer can read, ensuring text is extracted from images and documents as accurately as possible.

Verify Text Recognition (OCR) is working

  1. Create a new workbook and import an image from your desktop.

  2. When Text Recognition is enabled, DataSnipper will ask if you want to perform Text Recognition β€” click Yes.
