Overview

DataSnipper's Cloud Collaboration Suite (CCS) is a premium add-on that enables DataSnipper functionality in Excel Online, allowing multiple users to work simultaneously on the same document in real-time. You must have the CCS add-on enabled on your licence. Once licensed, an admin will see a new Excel Online tab in the DataSnipper Dashboard for managing user access.

How to Enable Cloud Collaboration

Step 1: License Upgrade

Contact your Customer Success Manager or licence provider to enable the Cloud Collaboration Suite on your licence.

Step 2: Deploy the Updated Licence

Redeploy or replace the licence file on your machines so that CCS features become active in your environment.

Step 3: Configure the Dashboard

Log in to the DataSnipper Dashboard. A new Excel Online tab will appear once CCS is activated on your licence.

Step 4: Invite Users

Use the Excel Online tab in the dashboard to invite team members to collaborate in Excel Online.

The Cloud Collaboration Suite works by:

  1. Registering authorized users in the cloud environment

  2. Deploying a specialized version of DataSnipper for web browsers using Microsoft's Office Add-in framework
