Overview
DataSnipper automatically converts any imported file into PDF to ensure immutability, readability, and standardization of your documentation.
Supported File Types
File Type | Extensions | Notes |
Password-encrypted PDFs are supported. | ||
Images | .png, .jpeg, .jfif, .bmp, .tiff | Images are converted to PDF on import. |
.msg, .eml | Supported attachments are added to the bottom of the PDF. | |
Text-based files | .txt, .xml, .rtf, .* | Default conversion for extensions not listed here. |
Web files | .html, .xhtml, .php | HTML-to-PDF conversion available in beta from v4.1. |
Word | .doc, .docx, .odt | Password-encrypted Word files are not supported. |
Excel | .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .csv | Each sheet is imported as a separate PDF. Files over 10 MB or with embedded images are not supported. |
Zip | .zip | All supported files within the zip are imported. |
How to Import
Click the DATASNIPPER tab in the Excel ribbon.
Click Import Documents.
Select the files you want to import.
