How to set up Directory Sync with User Management

Sync users automatically from your identity provider

Prerequisites

  • DataSnipper version 6.1 or later

  • DataSnipper Elevate package

  • DataSnipper Dashboard Owner access

  • User-level Licensing enabled

  • Directory Sync feature enabled by your DataSnipper representative

  • Access to configure your organization's directory provider

About Directory Sync

Directory Sync automates User Lifecycle Management (ULM). Changes to user identities, groups, or access rules in your directory provider are instantly synced to DataSnipper, eliminating manual updates, reducing errors, and simplifying onboarding and offboarding.

Set Up Directory Sync

  1. Confirm that Directory Sync has been enabled by your DataSnipper representative.

  2. Click the Users tab.

  3. Click Directory Sync Settings.

  4. Select your directory provider from the list.

  5. Follow the on-screen step-by-step guide for your specific directory.

Once configured, the sync will load and you can view Directory Sync settings and synced users from the same button going forward. To reset the configuration, use the three-dot menu in the top right of the screen.
