How to set up SSO with User Management

Configure Single Sign-On for your DataSnipper workspace

Prerequisites

  • DataSnipper version 6.1 or later

  • User-level Licensing enabled

  • DataSnipper Dashboard Owner access

  • Access to configure your organization's identity provider

This article is for admins overseeing user-level license management.

Set Up SSO

  1. Click the Users tab.

  2. Click SSO Settings.

  3. Select your identity provider from the list.

  4. Follow the on-screen step-by-step configuration guide for your provider.

  5. Click Continue to sign-in when finished.

A confirmation notification will appear in ManageDS once SSO is configured successfully.

Managing Users with SSO

After SSO is set up, you can still add and remove users manually from the Users tab. To fully deactivate a user's access, you must also remove them from your organization's identity provider (IdP).

SSO Sign-in in Excel

Once SSO is configured, users in your organization can open Excel with the DataSnipper add-in installed and sign in using their SSO credentials to start snipping.
