DataSnipper is a locally installed application that runs within Excel. However, certain features require internet connectivity. All traffic is encrypted using TLS 1.2. No client files are sent to or stored on DataSnipper servers.

Allow-list the following endpoints in your firewall or proxy to ensure full functionality.

DataSnipper uses Azure Cognitive Services for Text Recognition. The Azure endpoint URL must also be allow-listed. The URL varies by region — contact your Customer Success Manager if you are unsure of yours.
